Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is a sandy beach ideal for small children and is the local beach for Alsancak.

Deniz Kizi Beach

Deniz Kizi Beach is a sheltered private bay set up for those who enjoy participating in water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, jet skiing and more. Otherwise known as ‘mermaid beach’, this active spot is about 6 miles west of Kyrenia. Nestled within an attractive horseshoe-shaped bay, the beach belongs to two hotels, the Deniz Kyzy and Deniz Kyzy Royal, meaning it can get very busy and there is a small charge to use the facilities. Just above the beach is a large freshwater swimming pool available for visitors, and facilities include the usual sun loungers, parasols and toilets as well as some fun rafts for the children. There are several steps down onto the sand so it may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Kervansaray Beach

Kervansaray Beach has a good place to go to if you like beachside restaurants and bars. This popular, sandy and private beach lies in a pretty cove and is located about 6 km to the west of Kyrenia near the town of Karaoglanoglu. Visitors usually park on the roadside and walk down to the beach where there are sun loungers for hire and a small beach bar serving drinks and ice cream. The restaurants overlooking the beach serve a good selection of food.

Lara Beach

Lara Beach is a great beach for children to explore as it has flat sand at one end perfect for sunbathing and picnics, and smooth rocks with rock pools at the other – ideal for kids to climb over and try to catch small fish.
